Once the fan was put in place, the speaker is kept very cool. It is very quiet and use only 19 or 22 watts on two speed.

It's a great fan! Very quiet and has a solid, heavy feel to it. The pivoting is a great feature and the various speed settings are perfect. I've used it regularly for years now and it is holding up fine. Sadly it looks as if this product might have been discontinued. I just picked up an extra to keep on the shelf in case my fan ever dies. Highly recommended.
